Stage Manager and Sound Technician
Gianni Carcagno (she/they) is stage manager and sound technician based in Chicago, IL. She is a soon-to-be graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a BA in Theatre and Sociology and a minor in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies. Loyola management credits include RATS, OUR TOWN, FAILURE, VIOLET, and most recently stage manager for the world premiere of Sandra Delgado’s THE BOYS AND THE NUNS. Loyola sound credits include sound designer for THE WOLVES and MY MAÑANA COMES and A1 for FUN HOME and CABARET. In addition to production work at Loyola, Gianni was also Production Management Coordinator for the Department of Fine and Performing Arts and in their junior year led an accessibility initiative resulting in open captioning at Loyola mainstage theatre performances. Other Chicago credits include Lookingglass Theatre Company, Windy City Playhouse, The Hypocrites, and Pivot Arts Festival. Gianni is especially interested in theatre and interdisciplinary performance about queer and trans experiences, social justice, and arts accessibility.
