Hello!

My name is Mara (she/her/hers) and I am a scenic designer. After graduating from The Theatre School at DePaul with a BFA in scenic design in 2017, I moved to Berkeley to train as the Properties Fellow at The Berkeley Repertory Theatre. After overhiring in the Bay Area following my fellowship, I decided to move back to Chicago in 2019. Since then, I have been working as a props artisan and manager, and I am looking expanding my network as a scenic designer and assistant. Thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio!
